Dianne Lashoones (right), a New England native, is the organization’s program manager and has been involved with therapeutic riding for 8 years, having developed Rhythm of the Rein’s predecessor, Water Tower Farm Therapeutic Riding Center. Dianne, a 34-year licensed physical therapist, has provided professional health care services in a number of private and public settings, including sports therapy, geriatrics, and special needs children and adults. She owns and operates Rhythm of the Rein’s host site, Water Tower Farm, a public equestrian facility, established in 1989, that also houses her Tennessee Walking Horse breeding, training and sales operations. Dianne is a Certified Tennessee Walking Horse Instructor, a Tennessee Walking Horse Breeding and Exhibitor Association Board of Director, the president of New England Walking Horse Association and has presented clinics in both this country and abroad. She is also a NARHA Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and has been a guest presenter at regional and national NARHA conferences.
Libby Hale, a northern East Coast native, has been a licensed physical therapist assistant for 18 years. Libby’s interest in therapeutic riding surfaced when she briefly lived in California and became a volunteer at a therapeutic riding center. Upon return to the East Coast, she decided to further pursue this interest. Today, Libby is ARIA (American Riding Instructor Association) Certified Recreational Riding Instructor, a NARHA Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and an AHA (American Hippotherapy Association) Level II hippotherapy practitioner. She is also the local region’s only NARHA Registered Therapist in Hippotherapy.
Both have committed to exceed NARHA’s requirements of continuing education to retain their NARHA credentials and to provide optimal quality of services.
